Alex is the project traffic control and environmental manager with Stacy Witbeck in Baltimore, Maryland, where he works on Amtrak’s B&P Tunnel Program. In this role, he coordinates environmental compliance efforts, stormwater pollution prevention, and maintenance of traffic operations for the $2 billion Package B. He gets to balance office-side project management and field-side labor coordination in order to help Amtrak make critical improvements to a major choke point along the Northeast Corridor.

Alex’s time with Stacy Witbeck started in Portland, Oregon, after meeting them at Student Days. He first worked on TriMet's A Better Red project, where he was able to help improve capacity along an existing light rail line by constructing a second track at a major junction. Alex is passionate about creating livable, human-scaled cities through smarter infrastructure and can often be found advocating for better multimodal transportation.

Ian McKane

Ian McKane, P.E.

Ian McKane is currently a Civil Engineer with AECOM in the Eastern U.S. Dams Engineering Group focusing on Construction and Geotechnical Dam Safety projects. Ian is the Past Governor of the ASCE Construction Institute Young Professionals Council. Ian earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rowan University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Villanova University.

Kayla King

Kayla King, E.I.T.

Kayla King is a Project Engineer with KELLER, a specialty geotechnical contractor, where she plays a vital role in project planning, design implementation, quality assurance, documentation, and reporting. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kayla is often found on job sites, with recent projects focusing on compaction grouting. In addition to her fieldwork, Kayla is actively involved in DFI (Deep Foundations Institute), on the Women in Deep Foundations and Student Engagement Committees.

Kayla graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Sustainable Built Environments. Her involvement with the ASCE began in her freshman year, during which she served as the Senate Chair and was later elected President for two years. In 2023, she attended CI Student Days immediately after graduating. Passionate about mentoring women in STEM, Kayla strives to help students network, learn new skills, and grow professionally within the engineering community. She is excited to meet new individuals interested in the construction and engineering industry!

nicholo gadiana

Nicholo Gadiana, E.I.T.

Nicholo Gadiana is a Survey Engineer with Stacy Witbeck Inc., a heavy civil general contractor. Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, Nicholo is part of the Clark/StacyWitbeck Joint Venture working on the Frederick Douglass Tunnel project for Amtrak.

Being part of the survey group, Nicholo’s responsibility is to model different proposed utilities and structures for the project using Trimble Business Center. He looks at utility alignments and elevations to ensure there are no potential conflicts between different elements of the project. Additionally, he is involved with the field and office coordination, where he ensures that other field engineers are on top of their survey requests and layouts. Nicholo’s work also involved processing as-built data from the field, he prepared exhibits for existing structures and utilities on site.

Nicholo is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College, where he received his Associates of Science in Engineering degree. He then transferred and graduated with honors at George Mason University in Spring 2023 with his B.S in Civil Engineering. During his time at GMU, he was involved with the ASCE Student Chapter taking on leadership roles for Sustainable Solutions Team, and the executive board as a Secretary. He was a previous CI Student Days participant in 2022, and continued his involvement with CI YPC and ASCE younger member local chapters in Maryland.

Sean Donnelly

Sean Donnelly

Sean is a Field Engineer II with Gilbane Building Company currently working on the Ralph Wilson Centennial Park in Buffalo, NY. In this role, Sean is responsible for managing multiple portions of the project, including the facilitation of all Cost, Schedule, and Quality. Sean has also previously worked on projects such as the Lake Placid Olympic Center Link Building (2022), and the Buffalo Bills New Stadium Project (2024-2026).

Sean graduated from Clarkson University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering Management. Sean’s involvement in ASCE started after he participated in the 2022 Student Days in Charleston. Since participating in the 2022 Student Days, Sean has stayed active within the YPC. This year, Sean is serving as the Vice-Governor for the Young Professionals Council.

Jake Moreno

Jake Moreno

Jake is a field/office engineer for Stacy Witbeck currently working in Estimating out of the Salt Lake City Office. In this role he works with the estimating team to pursue new projects in the mountain region as well as put together progress estimates for larger, alternative delivery projects. Jake began working with Stacy Witbeck as an intern on the FR2X project in Salt Lake after meeting the recruiting team at Student Days in 2024 when he competed in Costa Mesa, California.

Jake graduated from Columbia University in 2026 with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, specializing in Construction management, structural engineering, and geotechnical engineering. Since his freshman year Jake has been very involved with Columbia’s ASCE chapter, serving on the Executive board every year and serving as its president for his senior year. He was also involved with the ASCE Met Section and has been an involved member of the Construction Institute since 2024. He has been part of the YPC since graduating and is excited to plan student days and other advancement events with the rest of the young professionals!

Braden Lloyd

Braden Lloyd, E.I.T.

Braden is a field engineer in Stacy Witbeck’s Salt Lake City office, currently working on the 14600S Underpass Reconstruction Project. Managing a diverse scope of work, Braden oversees civil construction—including dirtwork and utilities—while assisting with walls and structures. His days are split between the field and the office, where he coordinates daily operations, manages subcontractor communication, ensures quality control according to project plans, and maintains critical project documentation.

The 14600S Underpass project features a major engineering milestone: the installation of two box culverts that will be pushed under an active railway using a box jacking system. This marks the first time this approach will be used under live railroad traffic in the United States.

Braden graduated from Ohio University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, specializing in construction management and surveying. As a student, he was highly involved in the university's ASCE chapter as treasurer and served on the Student Presidential Group as the Construction Institute (CI) Representative. After attending Student Days in 2023, he remained involved with CI, joining the Young Professionals Committee (YPC) upon graduation. Having experienced firsthand the immense value of student competitions, Braden is proud to help inspire and mentor the next generation of construction talent.

Lily Liu

Lily Liu, E.I.T.

Lily Liu, is a Master's student in Geotechnical Engineering at Tufts University, where she is pursuing a thesis focused on soil behavior and laboratory testing. She earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts in 2025 and studied abroad at the University of Auckland, gaining a global perspective on engineering practice. Through internships with Stantec, VHB, and Haley&Aldrich, Lily worked on transportation, drainage, roadway improvement, and field investigation projects. Exposure to a range of civil engineering disciplines helped shape her interests in soil mechanics, earthquake engineering, and geotechnical site characterization.

In college, Lily was the Treasurer and one of the mechanics for the Tufts Bike Shop, where she managed club finances and maintained the university's bikeshare fleet. To promote sustainable transportation that is also accessible and inclusive, she led a Green Fund-supported initiative that teaches bike-riding skills to individuals who never had the opportunity to learn.

Lily participated in the CI Student Days in 2025 and has since remained involved with the CI Young Professionals Council. Lily is committed to advancing resilient and sustainable infrastructure through geotechnical engineering and looks forward to contributing to the profession throughout her career.
